The Challenge
This family home in Abuja was almost entirely reliant on a petrol generator for daily electricity. With grid supply averaging just 4–6 hours per day, the generator ran for most of the household's waking hours — burning through ₦80,000–120,000 in fuel every month. Frequent outages disrupted work-from-home routines and the children's schoolwork, and the constant generator noise and fumes had become a serious quality-of-life issue.
The Solution
InfraSol deployed a 7.2 kWp monocrystalline solar array on the rooftop, paired with a Deye 6 kVA hybrid inverter and a 15 kWh LiFePO₄ battery bank. The system was sized specifically to cover the household's full daytime load — lighting, fans, electronics, and a small AC unit — with enough battery reserves to carry essential loads through the evening. The entire system was purchased outright at ₦5.6M.
