How long the battery lasts at night

At a typical night-time load of 1.5kW (1 AC, fridge and lights), the 15kWh battery runs for about 9 hours. The cheaper version's 10kWh runs for about 6 hours.
5kVA or 6kVA: which do you need?
Most people searching for a 5kVA system are after the same thing: one air conditioner, the fridge, lights and fans, without the generator. The inverter rating is the least important part of that decision. What decides whether the AC lasts the night is the battery, and what decides whether the battery is full by evening is the panels.
The extra 1kVA still earns its place. A split AC and a borehole pump each draw several times their running power for a moment as they start, and a small inverter that is already carrying the fridge and fans is where those two starting together trips the system. 6kVA gives that headroom.
The bigger gap between quotes is usually battery size. A 5kWh battery holds a third of the 15kWh in this package, so it covers roughly a third of the overnight hours. Before comparing prices, compare kWh of battery and kWp of panels, not just kVA.
